Technology Governance
State Road and Toll way Authority (SRTA) Technology Governance and Strategic Roadmap
As an interim CIO for the twin agency of State Road and Toll way Authority (SRTA)and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), Niti founder Jignesh Patel developed technology strategic roadmap and technology governance plan for the agency. The purpose of this exercise was to create a better alignment with the agency goals, visions, and business processes with the technology investments. SRTA needed to use the technology as an “enabler” to optimize the efficiencies and streamline the operation. The roadmap focused on a SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat) analysis of the technology infrastructure and a gap analysis, which subsequently led to a technology refresh plan for many critical areas.
The technology strategic roadmap addressed the key areas of technology infrastructure–including, Systems Assessment, Systems Integration, Business Process Improvements, Data/Infrastructure Security, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, Organizational Assessment and Future RoadMap. As part of this effort,Jignesh developed a roadmaptoevaluate andtransformSRTAoperational model to manage the existing operations and build new capabilities that drive engagement and business growth through rapid prototyping more effectively.Witha focus on integrated and innovative technologies Jignesh provided tailored recommendations to reduce operational costs, improve quality control, and provide the best customer experience possible toSRTA/GRTAcustomers.
