Enterprise Asset Management
JTA Tier 1 Transit Asset Management (TAM) Plan Development
Niti team has been selected as a subcontractor by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) for a contract to help coordinate and prepare the FTA mandated Tier 1 Transit Asset Management Plan (TAMP) and position the Authority on the path to becoming an Industry Leader in true Transit Asset Management.
The team is supporting JTA with the following tasks and deliverables:
Task 1.0 – Project Initiation and Administration
Interview the stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives, future needs and uses of data.
Discuss assessment approach and review asset hierarchy.
Develop Committee schedule.
Task 2.0 Comprehensive Inventory:
Develop asset inventory.
Review available information and develop strategy.
Understand the Capital Budget versus Operating budget.
Understand how relevance of the information collected on a regular basis moving forward.
Task 3.0 – Populate Database:
Populate database with asset information.
Input condition assessment data into Database.
Asset Data Source reference to be noted.
Task 4.0 – State of Good Repair Analysis:
Develop weighting criteria with JTA project manager and Committee.
Perform SGR analysis based on JTA goals, objectives and weighting criteria.
Determine if additional metrics are desired for project prioritization.
Task 5.0 – Tier 1 Transit Asset Management Plan
Develop finalized Tier 1 Transit Asset Management Plan.
Task 6.0 – Continuity Plan & Industry Best Practice Recommendations
Develop continuity plan.
Identify and recommend changes to achieve Industry Best Practices and position JTA as an Industry Leader in full Asset Management.
IndyGo EAM Implementation
Niti team has been selected as a subcontractor by the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IndyGo) for a contract to support them with Transit Asset Management (TAM) Plan Consultant/Support. The current TAM plan was completed a few years back and is in need to be updated to comply with federal regulations. Our team will provide Subject Matter Expertise to support the next update to this plan and provide guidance on how best to maintain and update the plan moving forward.
The team will support IndyGo with the following tasks:
Project Administration including stakeholder interviews, meeting minutes and progress.
Audit IndyGo Processes and Procedures, Interview Stakeholders, and Identify Gaps in the current solution.
Identify ideal future state processes, perform market research, and Research and Recommend a Software Solution
Identify and clearly define the performance measures to be included in the TAMP update, more specifically, how each one ties back to a targeted objective(s) or goal(s) held by the agency.
Identify performance measures to examine for future TAMPs.
Update IndyGo’s existing templates and/or prepare new templates.
Inventory, complete with condition assessments, of existing assets. Assets must meet FTA and IndyGo TAMP definitions of an asset to be included in the TAMP.
Update, where necessary, the TAMP risk oversight section of the TAMP.
Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) – Transit Asset Management
The Niti Systems founder Jignesh Patel performed an assessment of the Transit Asset Management (TAM) needs, State of Good Repair (SGR) and ISO 55000 Draft International Standards for Asset Management at GRTA. Subsequently, our team helped GRTA implement a TAM solution along with the SGR database.
New York Metropolitan Transit Authority – Asset Management System Integration
Niti Systems founder Jignesh Patel supported New York MTA on an asset management project implementation for 6 agencies including Department of Buses, Department of Subways, Long Island Railroad (LIRR), Metro North Railroad (MNR), Bridges and Tunnels and MTA Headquarter. The scope of work was to integrate asset management systems across all five agencies, deploy an integrated asset management solution, and create common business processes.
Atlanta Region Transit Link Authority (ATL) – Enterprise Asset Management Implementation
Niti Systems is supporting ATL with an implementation of their new Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementation. The EAM implementation will support the current and future EAM needs for the ATL and Cobb County Transit currently. The solution will have the ability to scale to meet the asset management needs of other transit operators within the ATL’s jurisdiction.
Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) – Infor EAM Implementation
Niti Systems is supporting CTA with an Infor EAM implementation as technical Subject Matter Expert. Our consultants are responsible for the review of the existing Infor environment, document Infor-specific implementation plans, assist in implementation changes to Infor software and updates to Infor equipment records and perform data quality analysis. We are helping CTA with data standard documentation for Infor equipment records and manage Slow Zone Tracking of the Infor EAM/SCM implementation.
