Transit Planning
The Niti Systems team has helped many agencies with their transit planning and performance improvement exercises.

As more and more cities turn their attention to efficient mobility solutions for their smart city ambitions, they are increasingly focusing on innovative approached and plans to optimize their routes, solve first and last mile connectivity issues, serve their diverse demographic audience efficiently, increase attractiveness of transit alternatives, foster regional collaboration and increase safety/security and improve customer experience.
The agency increasingly focusing on emerging technologies for regional and multi-modal coordination for their short range (SRTP) and long-range transit plans (LRTP).
Several efforts are underway to develop a plan focused on transportation systems management and operations (TSMO). The TSMO plans work in collaboration with the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) or provide input to the overall plan in terms of operations goals, objectives, performance measures, strategies, and projects or programs. Transportation Performance Management (TPM) is a strategic approach that uses system information to make information to make investment and policy decisions to achieve the performance goals. The TPM focuses on six interrelated elements to include National Goals, Targets, Measures, Reports, Plans, Accountability and Transparency.

The Niti Systems team has helped many agencies with their transit planning and performance improvement exercises. We have worked with Public Transportation providers, DOTs, MPOs, State and Local Governments to support them with Research and design planning services for some of the most innovative transit systems today and detailed transit masterplans for Multi-Modal, Mobility as a Service, First mile and last mile connectivity, Regional interoperability, ITS architecture, etc.

TrainingOur training approach and methodology goes hand in hand with our Organizational Change Management approach and is based on the proven ADKAR Model created by PROSCI. PROSCI developed a simple but powerful model to help drive successful change. The ADKAR® Model is one of the most widely-requested and sought-after models for change management. We recognize that training programs are not “one size fits all”, and that each organization has their unique setup, needs and requirements. Therefore, at the start of this project our team works closely with the project team to review the organization structure, staffing levels, functional scope, business processes, technology, and organizational considerations. Our Training Experts assess this information as create tailormade training program. Our Training Development Methodology includes six major phases: Analysis, Design, Prototype, Development, Finalize and Delivery. Analysis: Analysis starts the methodology phases and include the activities to verify the current goals, scope, and expected deliverables and examine the target audience and business processes to provide the inputs for the Design phase. Design: The design phase includes the key activities to build the structure of the training and the individual courses.. Prototype: The prototype phase provides the opportunity to develop standards and example training outputs for review and approval. Develop: The development phase is the core of the develop methodology. In this phase, all the course materials prepared for use. Finalize: The finalize phase is where each course is reviewed in a final walk through to allow MTA to see final product and provide any final feedback or corrections prior to the training delivery. Deliver: This phase is the final activity in the methodology and consists of two parts.

Business Process ManagementWe live in an increasingly competitive world. In response to ever increasing competition and aggressive deadlines, the businesses are looking at innovative ways to accelerate the implementation timeline. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) and Rapid Product Development (RPD) frameworks have frameworks and cultures promotes the structured process for deployment of systems and products in the shortest possible time. Niti Systems has developed a custom Rapid Process Development Framework (RPDF) to support our Agile Project Management (APM) approach. The RPDF was developed by using our domain expertise and industry best practices. The goal of RPDF is to leverage our baseline processes and structured approach for rapid documentation of the current state processes and analyze the future state. Each baseline processes gets tweaked and personalized for your unique needs based on various parameters defined in the RPDF. RFPS combines the rigors of business process reengineering within a project life cycle to perform the comprehensive business process transformation.

Enterprise ArchitectureNiti Systems has developed a custom approach based on Enterprise Architecture (EA) that focuses on alignment of an agency’s business goals, visions and processes with technology capabilities and investment. With the goal of using technology as “enabler”, we help agencies optimize the business value of their technology investment. Our services ensure that the systems we help select and implement meet our client’s stated performance goals, aligns with their business goals and provide the highest level of data quality and integrity. We start our engagement with meeting the client leadership team, management team and relevant stakeholders to understand and document the medium to long-term goals and objectives in our custom frameworks and templates. We then review their current systems, current business processes, technology infrastructure and staff levels to determine the gaps. We use our custom framework that is based on four Enterprise Architecture domains to create a vision for future state that aligns with the agency’s business objectives.
